Installation and Awards Luncheon 2025
Thank you for your interest in our Installation and Awards Luncheon. Our luncheon is May 21st at the Elmont. We have different ticket opportunities as you can buy individual tickets or a table of eight. Please be sure to let us know which school you represent. Ticket purchase guarantees lunch and preferred seating.
Beyond the awards and installation of new Council officers, we are excited to showcase different student performers from across the district. Allergy friendly and vegetarian meals are available with requests in advance.
Early bird pricing ends April 16th so get them before they increase in price. Tickets must be purchased in advance as there will be no tickets sold at the door. We are also offering vendor booths (limited availablity) with includes lunch for one person.

TRAINING
Local Leader Training
Leaders, it's a pivotal time to start training for a successful year in PTA. This year we want to provide you with training and support throughout the year. Check here for current events happening.
Each PTA Executive Board member has two Texas PTA training requirements (that can be completed online and should be taken no later than October 15):
1) FOUNDATIONS Essentials (formerly named FOUNDATIONS Leader Orientation) is available online NOW; and
2) FOUNDATIONS Basics is also available online as 2023-2024 recorded webinars. Board members may complete the 2023-2024 versions to satisfy the Basics requirement.
Updated 2023-2024 webinars will be posted this fall, including Basics for "Boardsmanship."
Foundations Essentials
FOUNDATIONS Essentials (formerly named FOUNDATIONS Leader Orientation) is coming soon. The new training video will be available on txpta.org in both english and spanish.
FOUNDATIONS Essentials is an introductory course for new PTA Leaders. All board members are required to complete it only once in their PTA service, and there is a $10 fee to access the course material.
Essentials is only offered online through Texas PTA and can be accessed via the buttons at the bottom of the page.
PTA Leaders have 14 days from the date of registration to complete all three sections. Allowing the 14-day window to lapse will result in additional registration fees.
There are 5 questions at the end of the course which must be answered correctly to receive a certificate for the training.
Once complete, PTA Leaders may access a completion certificate to be provided to their PTA secretary. A copy of the completion certificate will also serve as your receipt for reimbursement. It displays the attendee name and date of completion. The registration and reimbursement amount is a flat $10.
While the bylaws state new board members must complete FOUNDATIONS requirements no later than October 15, it's important that all PTA Leaders complete the training during their first year of service, regardless of the date.
